Welcome to the Escondido Art Association

The Escondido Art Association is dedicated to promoting fine arts in our community. Through our gallery on Grand Avenue we provide an outlet for our members and other local artists to display their work. We also host demonstrations by local and nationally known artists at our monthly meetings, providing a place for members to learn new techniques and socialize with fellow artists.
The EAA is active in the community of Escondido: hosting shows benefiting local causes, giving scholarships to local high school students, and even showing member artwork in downtown businesses. Anyone with an interest in the visual arts or the desire to support the EAA is welcome as a member!
Our gallery, The Artists Gallery, on Grand Avenue in Escondido, is open in the evening during the monthly Second Saturday Artwalk. We focus on representational art in all media. Admission is free and we offer a hosted wine bar and hors d'oeuvres. Come see the art and meet the artists!

Ron Lemen
Oil dual-portrait demo

Demonstration Begins at 7:00
Free for Members, $5 for Non-members
We are excited to announce this month's demo will be by acclaimed artist Ron Lemen of Studio 2nd Street in Encinitas. The demo is held during the EAA's monthly member meeting. Open to the public. Meeting begins at 6:30 pm, demonstration at 7 pm. Bring a painting of your own to enter the monthly members' art competition, to be judged by Ron Lemen.
Ron will be demonstrating handling a multiple-person portrait, with emphasis on value, color, and form. Ron Lemen is known in the local community as an artist par excellence, a teacher of students seeking to become professionals in the art world, and a leader in conservation and energy renewal. But, in Hollywood, Ron Lemen is known for his fabulous portraits and incredibly detailed designs. Plan to come and enjoy his demonstration, as he paints a dual portrait!
